As she said, “Bringing the ambrosia which has been consumed by the gods and give us… Then you will be freed from the slavery… Garuthmantha agrees for that. In this theme, Garuthmantha who started his journey to bring ambrosia… On his way, he sees Devendra with ambrosia. Even he asks Indra to give him ambrosia, as Indra did not agree to give… A fight occurs between them for ambrosia. During that fight, two drops of ambrosia fall down in the river on the earth from the pot. Puranas say that, since that time, the people whoever take bath in that river lived winning over the death. Due to this mistake committed by Garuthmantha… The deities who it is against to the creation if all the human becomes free from death and turns immortal… They all approach Lord Vishnu and narrate the entire incident happened. As part of it, while Lord Vishnu cover that river in which ambrosia drops have fallen with a mountain… Due to the impact of that river which has ambrosia, the mountain floated like a flower on water. Due to this, Pushpagiri temple has formed. As Lord Vishnu made the floating mountain stable by pressing it with his feet… That mountain became stable at one place and turned into Pushpagiri Temple. This holy place which has such a famous history is not only amazing… But also a place that holds many wonders. As Pushpagiri Temple is so much glory after Kasi… It is called as Dakshina Kashi. The presence of both Vaidyanatheswara who is the form of Lord Shiva… And Chennakesava Swamy who is the form of Lord Vishnu in a single temple acquired a great significance. So the devotees of both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu visits this temple. Along with this main temple, we could see the temples of Santana Malleswara… Uma Maheswara, Rajya Lakshmi, Rudra Pada, Yoga Anjaneya and Sakshi Malleswara in the temple premises. Along with Papa Vinasheshwara, Lord Vinayaka, Pushpanatheshwara, Kamala Sambhaveshwara, Goddess Durga… Around 101 temples are located in Pushpagiri as its significance. As the proof that Lord Vishnu pressed Pushpagiri mountain with one foot and made it fixed there… The great thing is…. the imprint of his foot could be seen on this mountain.
